Executive function is the set of mental processes that allow us to meet challenges and accomplish our goals. We use it to perform such tasks as planning, organizing, paying attention to and remembering details and controlling our behavior. Youth with ADHD or specific learning disabilities in the area of executive functioning often find the increasing demands of school to be a significant challenge to their overall academic achievement and mental health.
Schuler Counselling offers study and executive functioning support specific to organizational and time management. We provide skill building techniques to help teens and young adult prioritize their work, create schedules and routines, and help them break down large tasks into smaller more manageable chunks.
Testimonials
“The Schuler team has been nothing but exceptional in helping our adult son manage university and his mental health while we try to parent from a distance.”
